Thread: WA3002G4 modem 4 lan ports

i have connected my computer(pc) with the WA3002G4 modem and its fine working with internet bsnl u750 plan.
i wanna connect another computer(pc) to the modem without using hub to the available remaining 3 ethernet lan.
is it possible if so how...?
how to assign ip address for the new machine...

after i connect those computers to the modem is it possible to transfer file within these computer..........

first you check out the ip address assigned in ur system...(first lan port)
if the IP OF SUCH SYSTEM IS 192.168.1.x(3,4.5.etc.,)..subnet mask 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.1.1. or may be 192.168.2....assign to second lan port 192.168.1.5 and third lan port 192.168.1.6 and keep subnet mark as well as ip same as assigned to first system...dat's it

Enable DHCP in your modem
Range 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.1. X( X=say 20)

3.Start Network/ LAN or Wireless LAN
properties
Network settings
Select TCP/IP
Properties
Select Obtain Ip address automatically.
DNS ( if preferred) use openDNS
208.67.220.220
208.67.222.222

Apply SAVE.
