Thread: modem reset problem

hi friends , i have ZTE modem ZXDSL831A11, since yesterday after i cahged my settings from bridge to pppoe mode it is givin me problems, my modem resets completely to factory settings on restart even though i uncheck reset button and also it resets to original settings when i switch it power supply off and switch on again
, due to this i have to configure my modem each time i switch on to use internet, kindly please someone help me at this, i have evn tried resetting modem through small switch given at back please help

If you are out of all options, there is a small reset button in your modem, press it for a minute and release. Check again. Do it only as a last resort.

Procedure for Broadband Installation

# Under the Services tab, select NAT, and set it to Enable.
# Under the Services tab, select IP Filter, make sure the Public and Private is set to Accept, and this would allow the modem to access the Net.

After that, click on “Admin” and then “Commit” and then “Reboot”.

Wait for about two minutes

If still problem, delete all vpi/vci settings except 0 and 35.

original settings may be reverting to "Bridged" mode.
Confirm.
