Arrow how do i cut down power usage while my com is on 24*7 while downloading massive files

hi all i am jaggu i need to cut down power usage while i am downloading big games and movies i have ul 750 plan so u probably know its super speed !!
also mine is a gaming pc u can say a mediocre 1. i play a lots of high end games
Now my prob is power saving when massive downloading(like games(6or7gb) and movies(700mb)) and it takes days together.
    this is my riG

    AMD 5200 dual core x2 2.7Ghz
    Zotac 8200 nvidia motherboard(s1 and s3 compatible)
GALAXY Nvidia 9800gt 512 MB gddr3 graphics card(consumes massive power trust me its goddamn hungry i did like to shut it down in xp )
500W Blue Storm smps (this is cool)
    1TB HDD
    1 samsung dvd ram
    D-Link LAN Network card
    coolermaster entry level cabinet

so overall it consumes 430/450/470 watts under full load
and i donno how much under idle maybe 350 W

    Thumbs up Reduce power usage!!

Its pretty simple!! All you have to do is follow the following steps!!

    Before you start downloading,

1.Use AMD OverDrive(AMD Software) and underclock your processor speed say something around 1ghz and also reduce the cpu voltage!

2.Use Riva Tuner 2.24(to underclock your video card) and reduce your GPU core,Shader speed, memory speed of your card to minimum possible!!

And thats it now your pc is ready to save a lot of power!! and it will also be cool!.Once you finish all your downloads just restart your pc are set the CPU and GPU speeds to normal using the above said softwares!

ok good reply very nice of you thanks for the cpu idea very appreciabledude then one more is it necessary to reduce the cpu voltage ??? only underclocking will do it ?? or do we have to do both underclock and reduce volt ?:nono:

works only for 7 seires chipset
doesnt suport 8 seires nvidia zotac 8200 problem here

You have to reduce both the volt and clock in order to reduce power usage! im not familiar with amd software as i am using intel. So just google and find some good software that underclocks your processor and also the voltage.

I just turn off monitor and speakers to save power. Nothing else.My question is 'How much power we are likely to save by under clocking CPU ram etc. ?'
