Is this lan card inbuild with Motherbord
If so then go to the support web site of the motherboard companny
    and download the driver software.

I see the chip set of the LanCard in picture

I have a driver you can try with it
    What is your email address
I will send you the driver attachement.

    0n top ethernet box .
    click configure.
    get details.

    Para two:
No I have not installed this yet.
(A).If you have purchased it recently,
an installation cd would have been
provided along with the PCI ethernet card .
Run it or check the contents.
    Confirm.

After you install the Ethernet card
    (B)
    1.START/ Network LAN
    Properties
    Network settings.
On top there is a box for the ethernet card.
    showing " NetQuest NQ-FE2100"
    2. Click configure

3Check , whether it is enabled.

    4. Then click " drivers"
copy the list and post it here.

    5.Also try Trouble Shooting and
    follow procedure..

    6. Download the bigger picture from
    http://www.netgear.com/Products/Adap...ers/FA311.aspx

    7. Check in same site for driver downloads.

Thank you Essbebe for that guidelines.(Henceforth, I will not leave the Email-address open on the Page)I am new Newbie to this Forum. It took me a lot of time to post my first message... Hee Hee...

I don't have the Driver Cd. I misplaced it.Now I have done a fresh install and windows xp is asking for the drivers.

I followed the Link and had been to Netgear site. That is not the card I am having. There is a noticable difference in the build between the two.

If you think it is a clone of it, I ll go ahead download and install the drivers. (I found a Driver there) Shall I give a try?

Default driver for ethernet card ( CD missing )

In the box there should be some instruction sheets/.
Specifications etc . If you have lost them also

    (C)
    Try other steps suggested here.
Windows cannot Download /search for drivers unless
    you are connected to Internet.
How you connect your System now ?.

    (D) Switch OFF computer.
Insert the PCI card in the slot in your Desktop
connect the Rj45 cable from modem to lan card .
    Switch on the Computer.
You will get Message " New Hardware found"
    Asks for drivers.
    Select from a list.
    Select Netgear model.
    or
    Select location C:/windows/System32/drivers

nagesh.j I send you the Driver attachement to your email address.
The chipset what I see in the picture should work with this Driver I think.
    Reply with your feedback.

    I am sorry.
Actually I wanted to mention Realtek PCI ethernet card.
I have selected above driver for older computer/s.
Please try above driver, if @indrani's driver/s are not suitable
Try to set a system restore point before installing
a device driver. This will help if you installed a
wrong driver. Problems can arise when your
hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.

    Feedback.
