Rep Power: 1 | Hello All, I'm using UT Starcom WA3002GA router with Home UL 750 plan. I have connected my desktop through LAN and laptop through wifi. I use rapidshare for downloading stuffs. For the past 3 days when i try to download on my desktop i was not able to download. It says "Unknown host error". This problem is only when i try to download from rapidshare on my desktop and when i try to access some websites. It says "Address Not Found" But on my laptop with wifi connection i was able to download and the website that were not connecting on my desktop were working fine. I taught the problem would be with my network card on my desktop so i changed my network card but the problem remains the same. Then i tried connecting my laptop through LAN and when i try to download i found that it is not connecting. It said the same ("Unknown host error"). But i am able to download through wifi. Please help me to solve this Thanks |

Rep Power: 12 | In your desktop and Laptop Start Network LAN 1.Do you see your LAN connection ? apart from WIFI connection 2. Check the ethernet card configuration. ( Network settings page) 3. Modem/router/WIFI is WA3002-g4 ? Mention the model number again, if thread title was typed wrongly. REFERENCE:h t t p://www.chennai.bsnl.co.in/BBS/WA3002G4.htm |

Rep Power: 1 | Its WA3002-G4. Thanks for your reply Essbebe. I have solved this problem.. This happened because i have given DNS server to obtained automatically. When i enter the DNS server address manually this problem has been solved. Last edited by coderblack; 07-21-09 at 07:43 PM. Reason: Typo error |
