If you are concerned about viewing usage details, try a bandwidth meter.

ShaPlus Bandwidth Meter - Freeware to display bandwidth consumed for session, day and month

Most of us use it. From its interface, you can select the channel you wish to monitor. It can be WAN, LAN or other available channels.

There are many software's available that can be used to monitor your usage.
"Net Limiter" is one of the bandwidth monitoring software. It is not only used to monitor but also to control internet traffic for the applications that uses the internet.

in dataone when u connect using dialer in options select show icon in taskbar when connected, and after connecting whenever u click icon for status it shows no of bytes transferred to be precise,, so u can atleast assume that this much MB has been transferred,,

hope a and b is cleared

now for C i did not get the question
