Default how to connect nokia n97 to bsl broadband using zte zxdsl 531b wi fi modem???

I have been using vaio laptop, nokia n 97 cell and bsnl bradband connection using zte zxdsl 531b modem. when i try to use net on my cell through this modem, it gets detected but while surfing it doesnt open any website and shows this message "no gateway reply".

on the other hand it works absolutely fine on my vaio laptop. i checked out somewhere that i need to change my modems setting to pppoe from bridging, but on doing it net stops working on laptop as well. it gets connected, connection shows message as"local and internet" but still none of the website opens.

i've tried my level best. please guide

if you still face issues post screenshots of the WAN page of your router , there could be something wrong in your PPPoE settings

    Your modem 531Bis almost similar.

    ELSE
Check the link given for MP BSNL web site in Flash mode.
    for your modem.

    THEN
Get Wifi router working in LAN mode as well as WIFI mode.

    Feedback.

Default zte zxdsl531B wif router - modem inaccessible.

i am not even able to open 192.168.1.1 anymore. i have resetted the modem as wel
You have RESET the modem to factory settings.
i need to connect it to net through any other connection only then 192.168.1.1 opens.
    1.
    Not understood.
Have You connected some other computer/laptop with this modem ?
    with a different userID/PW ? in Dialer mode ?
then could you connect to Internet with this modem ?
(You have RESET the modem to factory settings earlier ).
    & access 192.168.1.1 ?

    2.
If you are connected to Internet using ZXDSL531B
    Current IP Check

Type above in IE address bar
Does a window open to access modem settings ?

    3.
    Routine steps:
    NOW
    in your desktop or laptop
Start Network LAN and/ or wireless LAN
    Properties
    TCP/IP
    properties

    enter 192.168.1.10
    255.255.255.0
    192.168.1.1
    DNS
    select automatically
    Apply save.

Now try to access the modem
    4.
    Post Ipconfig /all data

    Procedure:
    Start RUN type cmd OK
    New window
    type ipconfig /all

192.168.1.1 doesnt work. i have another tata indicom connection.when i connect to net either through my zxdsl 31b modem or through tata indicom dialer, only then 192.168.1.1 works. without connecting to net, it doesnt work.

i have tried everything but still my modem works only in bridging mode and not in pppoe mode.

    PROBLEM
even though 192.168.1.1 doesnt open, i am able to connect to net both through lan and through wi-fi.

You are on "bridged" mode now.
Did you check your IP and type it in IE
    address bar?
    http://checkip.dyndns.com:8245/
Did you get a window asking for UserID and PW ?
    Usually admin and admin .

To change to "Always On" mode you have to access
    modem pages.
and change wireless settings if needed.
the only problem is i get connected through my laptop and not through cell. wi fi gets detected and connected as well through cell but none of the site opens. it shows "no gateway reply"./
Any other wifi network seen in cellphone window ?
Problem could be you have to enter security key in cellphone WIFI settings.

i know i am in bridged mode but when i change my settings to pppoe, net doesnt work. i am not able to connect then.

i have tried everything but 192.168.1.1 doesnt work.

i am able to access 192.168.1.1 only when i am connected to net. then i can change whatever settings i have to. but once i am ofline, it doesnt work

i have tried pppoe settings given in all the threads but still i am not able to make out, whats going wrong???

there is no other connection on my cell which gets detected. it only detects zxdsl 531b but it shows the message " no gateway reply" ;-(

don't use both LAN & wifi on laptop with different IP's at same time.disable DHCP & manually assign 2 different IP's to both LAN & wifi then try by disabling one(either LAN or wifi, preferred is wifi).
