Rep Power: 1  |  what if I don't pay bsnl bill? I am fed up with bsnl and I think they are more of a scamming company. I have been having this problem that there are frequent diconnections (anywhere between 1 min - 30 mins of switching on the modem - avg time = 10 mins). Then the connection does not come back until I do not switch off and then on the modem. Only after that the connection comes back, sometimes even then it doesn;t come and I have to switch off and on teh modem again. You ppl can well imagine how frustrating this can be . This is a 2 month old problem they send engineer (can those guys even be called that .. they are complete chirkuts) and twice the line man came ... but teh problem is as it was.. plus they closed the complaint even though I said that my problem remained unsolved. Calling up the DGM also did not help much....  So at the end of this story... I'd like to get a new conxion.. but as I have puchased their sickly modem  .. I have already invested money in this. so a demon  inside me says that I will not pay the bill and let them cut my connection whenever it pleases them. DO they take any real action against ppl who dont pay up and is there a legal procedure in place for this???PS: my estimated bill for this month is <Rs.1000 Last edited by fedupwithbsnl; 07-28-09 at 05:27 PM. | Platinum Member  | They may take action for non payment. Also credit beaureaus have started taking a note of such activities and if this incidence is reported it will affect your creditworthyness. There is a probably a fault in the line. You can certainly switch if you are not satisfied with the service. The modem is not useless as it can be used with other ADSL ISPs. You may wish to go thru my own experiece: My interactions with BSNL

Rep Power: 5 | mine is also a two month old connection 1st month it worked fine without any problems but from the second month it started giving problems i dont get disconnected but when i switch on the modem there wil be no browsing then i will have to switch off the modem and switch on it untill n unless i am able to browse sometimes i have to do it 10 times how frustating it is now they are saying that its my internet browser problem, how unproffessional they are. If you are thinking to disconnect then dont pay them any dues that will be better no action will be iniseated, they will just cut your connection thats it nothing else they are not concerned about all this, if they are then they would have acted in a proffessional way to solve the problem.

Rep Power: 3 | Not paying bills for the services you've enjoyed amount to stealing. So you can well imply what would it mean if you don't pay bsnl bills.  |

| Oh nothing much.. they will just, 1) disconnect you line. 2) Ask for payment politely (if you dont pay) 3) Will send a legal notice ( Still if you not pay) 4) Will file a case against you and drag you to court (if you dont attend court) 5) Cops will come to your house drag you to the court and will be blasted first for not respecting courts order then will be asked to pay the bill with interest (if you still dont pay) 6) Will be sentensed to Imprisonment according to the bill. Thats all.... nothing much to worry about. |

| well, in mumbai we have mtnl but i guess if you don't pay the bill, you will get screwed |

Rep Power: 8 | Its obvious they will send letter after letter, then make phone calls. If you still dont make the bill payment then a letter will come from some advocate and then court hearing and so on! |
