Default Paying 10,000 Rs a month for internet

    Hello,

I have my BSNL broadband which I set up in August, 2006. I have a BSNL Type IV modem.Since last 4-5 months, I have been running huge bills of Rs. 10,000 plus due to my downloads and uploads.

I do not have any other issues with BSNL. The speed is good and the download speed is 1.74 MBPS. The upload is a bit slow. There have been a few times when BSNL was down but apart from that, no issues.

I have another TATA connection but the speed is ok. The TATA customer service is good and I don’t think I have any downtimes.

I am thinking of a permanent solution to my broadband woes. I was wondering whether to stay with BSNL and switch my plan, or go with TATA /AIRTEL ( heard a lot of good things about it on the forums).

    I am staying in Ahmedabad.

    I have

    Regards,

    Abhinav

    Please mention your plan.

The solution is simple, monitor your usage. You can subscribe to SMS and email alerts when you cross your usage limit. You can stop when you cross the limit and hence avoid paying extra.

I would suggest you change your plan to one of bsnl's unlimited plans so you will get a fixed bill regardless of your usage..

Obviously you are downloading during day time also.

You are crazy to be running such high bills month after month. As Admin said, switch to unlimited usage plans. May I recommend that you switch to UL1350+?
