Rep Power: 1 | I have seen many people still confused about Night unlimited. There is noneed to reeboot modem for night unlimited. BSNL have upgraded their software for the benifit of many customers. In my case i have never switched off my wireless router which is in always ON mode. I have made my computer to auto wake up from standby exactly at 2.10 and sleep at 7.45. I have never been charged and everything is counted as free usage. check out the picture So, The answer is NO Last edited by just4kix; 08-01-09 at 08:57 PM. |

I have tested it myself and found nothing wrong. I am LOLING when someone say if the Router dont reboot at 2 am and again at 8 am the whole data will be counted. Last edited by Indranil; 08-01-09 at 05:16 PM. | |

Rep Power: 2 | Why to take a risk ? I download 5 to 6 GB data during night unlimited. If I just test what you say and fail it may cost Rs. 5000 to Rs. 6000 |

| BSNL should come out with a press statement if they are making such changes. They do it for silly things and miss the important ones. |

| Platinum Member | Perhaps it is not necessary. But it is better to be safe than sorry later. So I will recommend that you keep your automated logging procedures. I mean what is the harm if the router reboots every day at 2 AM and 8 AM? |

| At least good news for users who fall prey without knowing the reboot clause. |

Rep Power: 9 | As per tests conducted by me, (on 117 IP) the BSNL server verifies every 30 mins if its in chargeable time or in night unlimited. so if u have logged in at say 12.25, then usage upto 2.05 would be chargeable. usage from 2.05 to 8.05 would be free and usage from 8.05 again chargeable (provided the router is not rebooted in between) on the other hand, if u have logged in at say 11.58, then usage upto 2.28 would be chargeable. usage from 2.28 to 8.28 would be free and usage from 8.28 again chargeable (provided the router is not rebooted in between) |

Rep Power: 3 | Ya it seems like that only they have updated their systems now no need to reboot the modem for free usage. |
