Very easy
in one computer Plug the usb port to your Router and your computer. Install the USB driver.
in second computer plug the ETH port to your router and your computer. Install the Ethernet driver for your computer's Ethernet Card if required.
Set the PPPoE mode in your ZTE - ZX DSL 831 AII
Set the DHCP on
If the DHCP disable at the first time in your Router then you have to put the IP address in your Local Area Network manually.
Like below
For First Computer
IP Address 192.168.1.2
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 192.168.1.1
DNS 218.248.255.161
For Second Computer
IP Address 192.168.1.3
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 192.168.1.1
DNS 218.248.255.161
Hold on... let me try right now.
Hi...
Tried as you said.. assigning IPs and choosing PPPoE in the modem settings... but only PC connected using ETHERNET port works, the other doesn't conenct to net. No activity appears on USB connected machine.
Sure it works with ZTE 831 aii ? :-/
How to set the DHCP for this purpose?

guys in your modem config which u get by 192.168.1.1 enter the username and password in pppoe mode and also enable dhcp.....now your bsnl connection will be dailed in from modem and you will get interent access through lan....it works .......practically tested on linksys g router
How do I activate DHCP? Will it allow me to connect using both USB and ETHERNET at the same time?
Thanks

DONE!! :-)
Thanks guys.. there was problem with installed USB drivers. And installing used to fail on my laptop for some reasons, giving me a message that there was problem with newdev.dll file and I had no admin rights!!!!
So I tried again on desktop.. and the installation procedure actually requires choosing driver directory two times, and restarting it twice.
So now finally checked and it works fine on both systems. Drivers was the problem.
Thanks a lot guys for prompt help... morons from BSNL would have taken centuries to answer and help.
Btw, any idea why my total speed at a time is reduced to at max ~ 30-50 kbps now which was 200+ kbps when I had Home 500 plan, now I've shifted to UL 750 +.
Thanks again!

Congrats.
Please check network status in each computer.
(1) Does the default gateway show 192.168.1.2
for UsB connected computer ?
(2)and a new ethernet connection appear on top
of TCP/IP properties page ?
I've chosen default gateway as 192.168.1.1 I guess... will check and confirm. And, where exactly would I find (2) option as you said? In modem settings page (192.168.1.1) or Network connetions > Lan > Properties > TCP/IP > Prop?
In network settings page.
