    Are you talking about torrents ? Or regular downloads ?

    In torrents, port forwarding can help you achieve better speeds.

    Down : 0.09 Mbps
    Up : 0.38 Mbps, Plan 500.

    1. Do you use a firewall ? If so disable it and check.

    2. Post your SNR and attenuation values.

    Please post image as jpeg. BMP takes time to download.

    Your SNR seems to be ok but your line Attenuation is very high. you can make complain to your local exchange to check your telephone line

    the problem is with your sync rate.. it shows
    Rate (Kbps): 208 510

    This is VERY less.. its mostly a line problem.. you would need to call the lineman and ask him to change the line.. i had the same issue once.. do you notice any disturbance in the telephone?

    Cool need help urgently Reload this Page Reply to Thread

    dude therez difference b/w 250kbs and 250kBps (notice 'b' & 'B')
    bps=bits per sec
    Bps=bytes per sec
    so plans offerd by bsnl are as below............

    256kbps=31.25 kilo bytes per sec(KBps)
    384kbps=48 Kilo bytes per sec(KBps)
    2mbps=250 Kilo bytes per sec(KBps)
    8mbps=976Kilo bytes per sec(KBps)

    so u r using bsnl 500plan and it offer 2mbps i.e. 250KBps(generally it swings b/w 220-244KBps) it is absolutely fine............
    if your download remains much below than 220KBps......... then either ur l.line is faulty........or there may be some loose connection.

    hope this helps u and many others...............
