Default help me regarding 500c+ plan

i haVE decided to go for 500c+ plan..but therz some doubt regarding that plan..it says that night is unlimited from 2-8 ..om agreed..but in morning..what will be taken into account ..is it total upload and download or only downloads..?

if we go to youtube and stream a video ...will that be counted as downloaded?
or if we stream a song..will that be counted as download?

is there any software to check the amount of usage ?

and also plz tell me how much data will be downloaded ( including surfing) ..per day ..if i browse for 3-4 hours a day?

i am having a bandwidth meter ..i browsed for almost 5 hrs and it showed me 80mB ..and i was having a torrent active at that time...but that torrent was not having any seeds..so was getting merelly 1-2kBps and at times 10KBps..

tell me what is your average downlaod/upload per day

During night unlimited, you download as much as you can. The download/upload between 2 -8 will not be accounted for billing data.

Yes, watching YouTube and songs will consume around 150 MB/hour.

Use a bandwidth meter so that you can keep track of your usage. Regular usage will be around 15 - 20 MB for normal browsing.

    Usage means download + upload.

Often users think that during downloads, there is no upload. Some data is always exchanged with the ISP (to keep the connection alive) and some data is exchanged with the target home page (CRC check and such things).

In torrents, there is a reasonable upload also.

2 AM to 8 AM is not counted in usage in Home 500 C+ plan.

This page should explain all your doubts: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.

    Paricularly, this one:

    33. What all can I do with 1 GB(Giga Byte) download?
One GB is 1024 Megabyte or 1073741824 bytes. You can do the following with 1 GB download limit :
    1. An average web page is about 50 kilobytes in size - so you could download around 20,000 web pages for 1 gigabyte.
    2. An hour of surfing the web would be around 10 megabytes (200 pages) so you could surf non-stop for about 100 hours for 1 gigabyte.
    3. An hour of streamed radio would use about 15-20 megabytes.
    4. An hour of streamed video uses around 100-150 megabytes.
    5. Playing an online game typically uses about 10-15 megabytes per hour.
    6. Emails are very small - so 100 emails would be just 1 megabyte - or 100,000 emails for 1 gigabyte! (of course the attachments count extra)
    7. A super-high resolution (5-6 megapixel) digital camera JPEG picture or typical MP3 music file is about 2-3 megabytes so you could download 350-500 of these images/music files for 1 gigabyte. Very few users would actually exceed the download limits set.

at night u can download as much u can. total usage include both upload and download.
also consider home 500 plan as in this plan u get 2.5 GB of usage but no free calls.

u get bill details in bsnl portal site and u van clearly a column --"total chargeble units excluding night unlimited.

Too avail night unlimited, you must switch off and On the modem a little after 2.00 am and a little before 8.00 am. Unless the start and end time slot fall between 2 - 8, you will be charged. You can automate the process using
