there has been some discussions going on in the forum that you dont need to restart your modem between 2 and 8 am , and that bsnl does that automatically..

Really ??? But if i don't manually restart my modem at 2:00 AM then i incur data downloads about 370 MB [ modem on from about 12:00 AM ] instead of 0 MB .. how do you explain that ???

No answer on converting to bridge mode ?? c'mon guys ....

    thanks for your help...

SmartAX MT-841 (Type-III) ADSL MODEM MULTIUSER CONFIGURATION

In step 7 do not delete PVC0 already in "Bridged" mode. 0 and 35.

    select edit
IF new page opens check "Bridged" button.
    or
Save reboot wait for 2 minutes.
    use dialer to connect.
enter your user Id and password.

Just to be on save side , go to maintenance
and SAVE present settings to say C:/MY Documents/MT841 PPP/PPPoE

    Feedback.

    Nope..not working ..

Error Code at command prompt : :

" Remote Access error 623 - The system could not find the phone book entry for this connection.

For more help on this error:
    Type 'hh netcfg.chm'

I double checked the connection name , username and password everything's fine .....what might be the problem ???
