    1) In your laptop what are the wireless network connections you are getting.?

    2) Check whether the wireless is enabled in your modem, if enabled then in your laptop you will get the network with the name which is given in your modem that is SSID in you wireless settings.

    3) Please specify what kind of error or problem you are facing in you laptop while connecting to wireless network.

i am getting connected to modem i.e. it gets detected on my laptop but am not able to connect to net in pppoe mode. where as in my cell i can get connected only in pppoe mode otherwise in bridging mode, it shows no gateway reply.

in pppoe mode, i guess it should connect to net automatically as soon as i switch on the modem but its not happening, its connecting to modem but not to net and when i am using my dialer to connect even that is not happening in pppoe mode

if u r connecting ur lappy with a LAN cable in pppOE mode, the u need to enable NAT and DEFAULT ROUTE while setting ur modem to pppoe mode. else ur modem will connected to net bt it wont transfer the data to the laptop which is connected with lan cable.
