Default Where to go for username?

when I try to get to 192.168.1.1 I am asked a username and password. The tech that came gave me password but it doesn't seem to work. Where do I get a new one or some assistance?

it would help if you mention the modem model and make, in all posts.
Check this web site and pick your modem.
    BSNL BROADBAND MAIN MENU
    For all Bsnl modems
the modem/router user Id is normally
userID : admin( user multiplay )
password : admin or utstar (rarely 1234 ) password for beetel220BX..
if not listed post your modem make model.
if Dlink/netgear/linksy's etc will/can be different.
if beetel 220BX ( usually supplied by airtel ) admin and password

Para two ;sometimes BSNL might have used " multiplay" as userId to access modem settings at 192.168.1.1.
    for most modems.
Access Control -- PasswordsAccess to your DSL router is controlled through three user accounts: admin, support, and user.

The user name "admin" has unrestricted access to change and view configuration of your DSL Router.

The user name "support" is used to allow an ISP technician to access your DSL Router for maintenance and to run diagnostics

The user name "user" can access the DSL Router, view configuration settings and statistics, as well as, update the router's software.
