Technically this is possible. but what you say by the switch this is not possible through this device. You have to merge two deferent IP from BSNL in to one IP for your own. For this you require a router. Which is cost.

Not possible unless u are willing to invest in costly load balancing harware and software. Such set-ups are used in commercial establishments, but for a home environment, the seem to be too much of expenditure.

Thanks essbebe. The cost of the router is Rs. 42000. so that supports my earlier view.

D-Link DRO 210i and other Load Balancing Router have an WAN port not the ADSL port. Wan port is set with RJ45 not with RJ11. RJ11 set with the ADSL port. Loand Balance dose not work with BSNL or MTNL or Airtel ISP. They are suppling the ADSL signal not the WAN signal.

I knew a member from IBF who had a working D-Link load balancing router with BSNL.

Shivan can confirm it I think.

I think the person is using the VPN from BSNL or the Leased Line

you canot connect direct to the phone line with WAN port. If you some how connect to direct to the line it dosenot work. The signal at the phone used for ADSL port not for direct WAN port. In WAN port there is 8 pin required for the connection. How do you connect with this 8 pint to 2 pin of phone line. If there is a conveter like D-Link Interface
Converter which is convert the ADSL to WAN then you can do it.

If I remember correctly, the set up in my office (maintained by the IT people) is
    phone line 1& 2> ADSL Modem 1 & 2 > Load Balance Router > Network

Yes, there is a ADSL Modem between phone line and load balance not direct to the line.

i think a simple way to do thid is by connecting one modem via usb and another via lan.. then if you are using vista os then goto network and sharing center, bridge both the connections.. this should do it..

guesswhomsa1 did you mean getting total Mbps possible from bridge.
No this is not possible. Only one connection active at a time.
Do you know what is the purpose of using the bridge in a computer.
