Default Outlook Express suddenly stops outgoing mail

Hello I have a BSNL broadband connection (256Kbps to 2Mbps) in my office. The modem is ZTE and then there is a Linksys wireless router. I connect my laptop through wireless. I have put OpenDNS servers and the MTU is 1452 in both Modem and Router. I access mails using OE. We have our own email address like abc at company dot com. Everything was ok since last 1 year. Since 2 days suddenly OE has stopped sending mails, it comes part way and then does not go further. I tried changing the MTU to 1492, 1500, 1404, 1460 but nothing works. Just sometimes it sends the message randomly. However I just discovered that thunderbird seems to work with the same settings. What could be the problem? Is it a BSNL problem and I should wait for few days?

have our own email address like abc at company dot com
Receiving email/s with company email address allowed.
In any ISP email messages are sent only withe the Isps
annexure like abcd @datone.in abcd @bsnl.in abcd @airtelmail.in etc

default SMTP port is 25 and POP3 Incoming mail Port 110.
default for gmail in OE 465 and .....................................995
------------do for my Airtel email. address.

Check the Port you have used in Thunderbird and use same in OE.
    Also authentication required etc .
    Recheck.

Hello and thanks for the response. Just logged on to computer few minutes back and tried to send a message from OE, now working.
The problem is not with OE since everyone on the network is facing the same problem suddenly.
Also now I am not too sure about thunderbird. I am using both OE and Thunderbird with different accounts (one office and one personal).
So then I opened T'bird, created a new mail and sent to another personal email as well as my office email id. Then I received the email in OE and replied back, and it worked. Then immediately I tried to send the other mail which was not going just few minutes back and this was also send!! After a few minutes when I again tried to send the email it did not seem to go at first attempt but then was sent when I tried again. Maybe the problem is solved, I don;t know.
    Port settings are all ok.

I am not sure why you need two different clients for two accounts. My Thunderbird is configured to manage 4 E-Mail accounts (2 office/gmail/yahoo) simultaneously and I do not have any issues with any of them.

    EXCEPTION
    Missed the following point.
In office/business only Home250 tariff plan allowed.
Presume you are using a Business plan . Confirm.
where BSNL allows 4 email ID's ( maximum) for business users.

Then only OE or thunderbird will allow sending messages
    using abc @ hemang.com etc.
