    Security Deposit for BB
One month charges as per Plan but maximum to Rs 5000/- (or as applicable)
Advance Monthly Rental for BB As per billing cycle (one Month /two months)

But if i'm purchasing modem from BSNL, then also i have to pay (Security Deposit of Modem (refundable) Rs 500 (if applicable)

you either pay the cost of the modem plus VAT for outright purchase or deposit for modem plus monthly rental (plus service tax) for taking modem on rental but not both.
presently, only Type I modem is given on rental.

In addition, as you do not have a existing connection, for a new landline connection, the deposit charges of 1000 and installation charges would separately be applicable.

Now STD comes as a default option with local. can not be segregated.

Rent is for using Broadband service for one month. (provided u stay within the usage limit, else additional usage chargeable extra)
