Default i have two laptops and i need to connect them on a wireless router
the thing is .. i have a plan of 512kbps with ICC NETSPEED they told me they r with BSNL .. so i got here when i had this problem..

anyway it has a WAN miniport (PPPOE) connection which u have to put ur Username and Password everytime you connect to the internet..

and i realized that i cant login in more than one pc..

so i tried to get two laptop connected with a wireless router (NETGEAR WGR614) i did configure it to login automatically by putting my user and password and i did everything right..

but still it does not get connected to the internet.. it keeps saying No Internet Access

please help what do u think is the problem .. and what is the solution!

For using multiple machines, you need to be in PPPoE mode. That is, you need to able to get connected by simply switching ON your modem.

hey thanks for the quick answer..

i have it under "Internet Service Provider":

three choices:
1-PPTP
2-Telstra Bijpond
3-Others

i chosed "others" since its PPPOE.. or is this what u r talkin about when you said PPPOE mode ?

or my router doesn't have a PPPEO mode ?!

can you please explain your setup right now are you using NETGEAR WGR614 alone or with an ADSL modem...?

In PPPoE mode username and password is stored in the modem/router and when we switch on the modem it gets connected to internet.

And as you mentioned in your first post you are using a dialer that is WAN MINIPORT (PPPoE), so in that case the moden/router is set in BRIDGE mode.

Confirm, whether the company has supplied you an adsl Modem .

Try connecting the RJ45 cable from the company to LAN1 of Netgear and try.
and connect lan2 to ethernet port of One laptop.
Check Internet connection is active.



If you had set up your Wireless network properly, when
you are connected to Internet ,
Do you see your wireless Network Name in
Start/Network/ show all wireless connections.

Post Ipconfig /all data. ( without netgear and with netgear connected )

Start RUn type cmd Ok
new page opens.
type ipconfig /all.
