I have recently been applied or BSNL Broadband Home 500. I've got the connection but they have not provided me the Portal ID to check my usage.
Can anyone please tell me how can I get my Portal ID Information? Thank you.

Ask your Exchange. also a different email ID and password.
Usage check at
BSNL - Broadband Account Management
You should get following ids and their passwords from your telephone exchange.
1) Internet User id
2) Portal user id
3) Email Id
Without Portal User ID you can check uses at Web Registration for Usage Alerts
For this register on the page and download Web Client. Please note that it takes 4/5 days to get registered.
Install a bandwidth meter along side the usage details from the portal. Make a call to your local exchange and ask for
1. 14 digit portal ID
2. email ID
3. User name
4. Portal password
5. Password for connection
Please note that 4 & 5 is usually the word password. At exchange, they store these in their records and is 5 minute business.
Ok I have registered at bbusage and downloaded that usage software. But it always shows I'm not registered yet. So how long does it take to allow me to see my usage? Is bbusage a Genuine site?
just call the bsnl customer care or just write a letter to the divisional manager of bsnl(i did that in my city) regarding ur prob about portal -id .they will tell u what to do .

1.Presume you mean this site. You are likely
to get an email , if your free usage exceeds
say 150MB 1GB 1.5GB
2,5GB as per tariff plan you have selected.
For Home 750 U/L etc as usage is unlimited H24 ,
you may not get this email about excess usage.
Web Registration for Usage Alerts
2. The other two sites where you can check usage/ tariff plan change/ change password etc are
(a)
BSNL - Broadband Account Management
Likely to be DISCONTINUED on ( or WEF) 21st August 2009.
(b)BSNL Portal
Here you need your telephone consumer number etc.
Will edit post depending on feedback.
