    Question Helping Hand please

My PIII 800, 384 MB RAM, 20 GB HDD has dual boot - Windows ME and 2000 Professional. I have BB connection of BSNL 256 Kbps. Using ADSL modem TYPE IV Sl.No.WA3002G4. In wiin 2000 Pro, the Status bar shows connected. But could not be connected. Whereas in Windows ME, it is working well. Actually, Win 2000 does not detect the BSNL modem. Please help.

windows doesn't have to detect a "mod", only thing is that your LAN connection should be working properly.

first check that your lan card is detected.

Connect the modem with ethernet and you will not require any driver.

LAN card (I suppose the Ethernet card) is detected and working properly. Status Bar also shows having connected. Neith IE nor Mozilla opens up a website. What next please?
