    Default Strange problem- ADSL blinks on and disconnects within few minutes

    Hi all,
    i'm facing strange problem for the past two days.Asdl light in my modem goes off(disconnects) and in few minutes it blinks on (connects) this happens in cyclic and net connection is unstable. i couldnt find out where the problem is,

    my phone line is clear. i'm having proper adsl splitter settings ( i.e.line from pole to splitter then from splitter ADSL to router and phone to myphone.)

    also i'm using bridgemode connection with open dns settings. i'm on home 500 c plan. my lan card is working fine.

    From your side you are ok, problem from the exchange side. Call them to repair your fault on the line.
    In your ADSL GUI screenshot I see the ADSL modulation set to ADSL2 Plus. Change this value to G.DMT.

    thanks for your suggestion, i have changed the modulation to G.DMT . will check my line and update on this. dono how bsnl people will react on this

    try removing the splitter and putting the modem on direct line (with all parallel lines removed).
    if connection becomes stable, the fault is in your splitter.
    I faced a similar problem last month. got a new splitter for Rs.70 and things are now normal.

    guys,thanks for your valuable suggestions, happy to say that i got my problem resolved automatically. i suppose the problem is with the exchange, they must be doing some updates from their side. now my line is clear

    this is mainly due to parallel connections... try connecting a cable directly from the main line that comes to your home.. avoid any joins.. use a splitter at every extra tapping u r taking.. this must solve the problem.. if still persists call your line man.. may be some line earthing problem.
