Default billing in pppoe mode???

hi! just wanted to know that how i am gonna be billed in "always on pppoe" mode? will it be billed for 24 hrs or it'll be billed only when modem gonna be on or it gonna be billed according to usage? please guide, thanks

In PPPoE modem, unless your modem is off, you will be charged. But this standby consumption will be negligible while comparing to the regular usage. It is wise to switch off the modem when not in use.

Yes. Meetdilip is correct.
And switching off your modem would increase its life (its after all an electronic device) also help you by saving some electricity bill.

Whether your modem/router is configured in PPPoE or Bridge mode whats counts is the data usage, if you cross your stipulated free usage you will be billed for the same.

Its always better to switch off the modem/router when not in use.
