Default Relation b/w comp. and the connection

I just wanted to know whether the speed of the internet connection has anything to do with the hardware specifications of the computer. I am talking about the unlimited plan for which the speed i get is just 20-30 kbps. But in another comp. for the 250 plan it goes upto 180 kbps. Is it due to the difference in the plans or due to the computer. Please clear my doubt.

Go to speedtest.net and try a speed test and post the result here.

please check the plan details in BSNL website and you will find that the speed indicated differs from plan to plan.

for 750UL the speed is 256 kbps which translates to 32 kBps. so realistically that should give around 25-30 kBps.

[Note: its not 30 kbps its 30 kBps
kbps = kilo bit per sec, kBps = kilo Byte per sec, 1 Byte= 8 bit]

for 250 plan speed is upto 2 mbps which translates to 256 kBps. so realistically that gives between 180 to 210 kBps.

Your computer has nothing to do with it.

    Default about 500c

In BSNL website the plan 500c has a speed from 256 kbps to 2 Mbps.So in that plan i should be getting a higher speed than in 750 plan. Isnt it correct.

As you yourself have stated the range for 500c plan, 750 plan has a speed of 256kpbs.. So speed can coincide, But ofcourse, obviously the avg speed of 500c is comparatively more ...
