Exclamation Changing from Hathway to Bsnl broadband

    A BIG REPLY NEEDED:4:
Hi guys i am plannin to shift my broadband from Hathway to BSNL.
I know its the most logical step. I am in bangalore.
    1. I wanted to know if 500c(1.5gb) or 5..c+(2.5gb) is better.I dont want any calls. But i really want value for my money. 1.5GB plan is 500 plus rent free. But 2.5gb plan is 600 plus rent free.

2.And also wat is the average browing data transfer consumption that a moderate browser i can expect?(use around 2-3hrs a day).
3.How is the download speed between 2-8? i usually wil be up by 5am so can dowload. Wat is the average speeds tat i can expect?
4.Is net disconnection problem there? and How is PEAK hour data transfer rates?

Good luck answering a new member:blushing:

I would personally never ever go for a plan that has a limit to it as you never know when you would end up using up your allowance and start getting charge some stupid amount like 20-30k and then keep running from pillar to post to get it sorted out one way or the other.

Best value for money is any unlimited plan that has no chances of an escalation in your bill and that would get you good sleep at night as well.

I dont have a Bsnl connection so cannot comment on the rest of your questions.

    Good luck with the switch

very unresonalbe rate of 750 plus tax per month for me if i get 256kbps from them. I dont keep my system on for 24hrs... so no use. I can do a lot more transaction b/w 2-8.

If that is your opinion then, given that you would not also be using the voice call facilitates much, its better to go for H500C+.
It will give you 1GB more during chargeable time for just Rs.100 more than H500C.

text based like forum's etc 10-15 mb per hour
text chating < 5mb per hour
    voice chat ~ 20-40 Mb/hour

honestly, answer depends upon your locality, only someone with connection in your area can answer that.

generally there's not any difference between day time and night speeds.

1>if you use 2-3 hours a day then 1.5GB is better.

2>2-3 hours can consume average 50MB for average user with moderate usage.
if you watched video(youtube etc.) then usage will be 150MB

3>at night you can get speed above 1mb(not fixed)
but majority of my friends and i get that speed.
you can expect 150-230KBps speed that time

4>yes its there but it can be solved
