It is good news for Kolkata circle BSNL user but usage limit will be increase for limited plan user ???
that the major question.

well it only means new plans are going to be introduced, no information on wheather existing plans will be upgraded.

A Promotional Scheme for Broadband New connection - 2nd occasion

BSNL launching a Promotional Scheme for new Broadband connection for 2nd occasion - for the period 06.08.2009 to 03.11.2009 as details below.

Scheme -1

1) Installation charge for Broadband connection is waived.

2) With every Broadband connection type-1 modem will be given free against which no monthly rental
will be charged for first 24 months. After 24 months modem rent will be charged at normal rate.

3) Customer willing to have modem other than type 1 (modem) should pay the monthly fixed charge of the
modem or the cost of the same in case of outright purchase from the department............................

common VDSL requires full optical fibre connectivity , that ain't gonna happen anytime soon.

maybe yes mabye no, but replacing with optical fibre everywhere is surely gonna take time !

Don't know how long it's going to last but am consistently getting good d/l speeds on my UL750 connection.

Yes it's looking good in UL 750 plan now tell me is present all time or it changes with time.
and how old your connection ?

Just for today and now.
Been on Home 500 since 04-10-2005 and migrated to UL750 on 29-04-09.

Are you not getting Calcutta telephones UL 750 is in 500 Rs rental offer ?
