Thread: WA3002G4 & Playstation 2 Slim Online

I've my BSNL WA3002G4 modem all set up for my laptop, and it works pretty well upto now. I've been reading on the web on how to get the PS2 Slim online, and tried it with this router. The PS2 Slim network setup tries the connection test, but fails stating the error message: "The connection has timed out. Return to setup." Has anyone tried to setup their PS2 Slim to go online with this router?

do you use a dialer to connect to the internet or does the internet work as soon as you switch on your modem?

It works as soon as I switch the router on.

Enable DHCP in the router .

Confirm how you connect your PS2slim ?
via cable or WIFI ?

please note all are not fortunate in getting

For Instance some one says BB it can mean Broadband or
Blackberry or something else.

I'll enable DHCP on the router, but before I go about doing that, this would'nt in anyway restrict the current browsing that I do on my laptop would it? Yes, it is a PS2 Slim, and I was fortunate enough to buy this one for myself And, I connected the PS2 via a ethernet cable.

no it wouldnt ,.. DHCP enabled is so that your PS2 gets an ip

Ok, the DHCP is on in the router, but I still can't connect. I've read that the PS2 DNAS doesn't allow 'chipped' PS2's to connect... could that be the reason?
