Default VOIP Setup over BSNL broadband -Ports 5060/5061
Hi
Im trying to connect a Voip phone on BSNL broadBand connection.But nothing works(VOIP not working). When i contacted the VOIp service provider they told me that i need to check with my ISP whether they blocking any of the Following ports.

Broadband Modem: siemens C2110 modem( type-A)
Broadband Plan : Rural Home 150
Connection Type for BSNL Braodband: PPPoE.

VOip service provider: Starhub Singapore
Voip modem: Linksys SPA2102-R3 IAD
Voip Connection type: DHCP.

Please help to advise.

Mention BSNL ADSL modem or modem/router or Modem/router/wifi model details. ___( missed!)_____ siemens c2110

Thanks for the reply. here are the details about my broadband and VOIP.Please help to advise.

1.
Mention BSNL ADSL modem or modem/router or Modem/router/wifi model details. ___( missed!)_____ siemens c2110
My Model is Nokia Siemens netwroks c2110 ADSL modem.



2. Have You enabled DHCP in the unit ?_________________________
I have selected Connection type DHCp in the VOIP modem settinig

3.The FAQ mentions cable Modem which is different .
sorry, i think i gave a wrong FAQ. But when i i called the VOIp they told me that i need to check about this ports.
4.
Could you access the VOIP provider's website settings ?______________________

NO ports are blocked by BSNL.
yes..mine is 192.168.0.1 it can be accessed.

No they dodnt provide any installation CD. Actually, i have used the same VOIP modem here in singapore and it worked without any settings. I just connected to my existing ADSL broadband here and i havent even opened the default gateway of the VOIP.

My Dataone modem is set to PPPoE. Always on.

7. Confirm you get connected to Internet with present setttings of
Bsnl Modem.

a) It gets conencted to the internet when i connect my notebook to the ADSL modem directly.
ADSL Ethernet-->PC



b)if i use VOIP modem to browse the internet it doesnt work.i.e. My voip modem has got 1 Ethernet port and 1 Interenet port and 2 Phone lines.so i conencted the ethernet from the ADSL to VOIP Internet slot
and Voip Ethernet to PC.
So i assume that the VOIP is not geting the internet . but could'nt able to track what went wrong.

can you post pictures of your VOIP hardware, both modem and VOIP phone (incl. ports etc)

Thanks , for the clear manner you responded to my queries.

8.
India Broadband Forum
Check UpNp is enabled.

9.
India Broadband Forum
Check DHCP server is enabled.
Give range 192.168.1.2 to say 192.168.1.30

10.
In Computer
Start Network LAN
Properties
select TCp/Ip
properties
Select Obtain IP address automatically.
Apply Save.

11.
Now check c2110/computer ethernet port is working Ok.

12.
Then shift the RJ45 cable to Dlink VOIP unit. (wan/internetport)

13. Update 2000 PM post above please ignore.
If Lan1 Lan2 etc available in c2110
you can connect Lan1 to computer
LAN2 to VOIP unit ( checking up facility will update later )

( except DHCP page ), since you had it working earlier in
Singapore.

C2110 is a type I modem.
It has only one RJ45 port. (one LAN)

The settings on the broadband modem needs to be changed to act as DHCP server. Since your broadband modem has only one ethernet port, once you connect the computer, then remove the lan cable from computer and attach it to your spa2102. The internet connection may not be made to ata.

You need to switch off the broadband modem and spa2102. Connect broadband modem to spa2102. Switch on the broadband modem firstwait for say 30 seconds then switch on the spa2102... Check if you can browse internet using the ethernet port on spa2102. If yes then then your setup is okay.

Since your ATA was working in Singapore.. suggest do not change any settings on the ata as there is nothing wrong with your SPA2102.

siemens C2110
or
Nokia siemens C2110

Browse the http://192.168.1.1/
and see the model name

The ports you mention all are open to the bsnl side.

The Nokia Siemens Netwroks c2110 have problem with port forwarding. Non of the port are open in this firmware. I advice dpbandi to upgrade with old firmware which is only the name Siemens c2110.

Never had any Port forwarding problems with my Nokia Siemens C2110.

The only grudge is that the Port forwarding menu is hidden. Don't know why ?

In Siemens C2110, Port forwarding menu was not hidden.

In Nokia Siemens C2110 Port forwarding Meneu dosenot hidden
The above Screen shot taken from Siemens C2110 with firmware V55.1.04.02
In this modem the port forwarding Meneu is hidden but there is no problem in Port forward. The port forward problem start from the model name Nokia Siemens Networks C2110. Every version of this firmware have problem with port forward and DMZ. No port are open if you want to open. This model have UPNP enable. If you cheak the port with utorrent you cant see the problem because the utorrent have upnp enable. To cheak with utorrent you need to uncheak the upnp option or test with PFPortChecker from PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall
