    Default Easiest way to check broadband uses

    Make a new shortcut with the following URL.

    HTML Code:
    http://www.data.bsnl.in/wps/PA_SfCareUsageDetails/UsageRecords?accNo=12345678&UsgMnth=Aug-2009-UnBilled&serviceuserid=null
    Change 12345678 with your account number and Aug for the month you want to see uses.

    By clicking this shortcut you will download detail of uses of the particular Month.

    I would still prefer Datafox add-on for Firefox.

    But for Bsnl users with IP 117.xx.xx.xx usage portal
    h t t p://bbservice.bsnl.in is being discontinued (wef) on 21st August 2009.
    Now there is no provision in DataFox to add consumer Number ( or telephone bill CA ).
    Now this short cut may help to make Datafox useful to these users.
    Sent email to the author.
    Mine is 59.xx.xx.xx . functioning fine. for me

    the latest version of datafox (1.7.5) is compatible with firefox 3.5 and also with data.bsnl.in

    in data.bsnl.in it is working with user ID and pasword only.

    Thanks for this trick. I lost my dataone portal password. Now I can check without even entering the username or password.

    thanks for the confirmation.
    I normally use the syntax "{tX}GB/{cX}GB ({uP}%)" and also indicate the "limit" in MB in the set up options.
    This gives me result in the form of "total usage"/"chargeable usage" ("% of limit used")

    Thanks ,vijaykhairnar,

    It worked for me. I just got panicked when all the usage site of bsnl started telling my id pwd wrong! It appears that they have disabled the login facility for usage portal. data-fox is also not usable now. Ur idea helped.

    "There is no content available."
    This is what I see now in data.bsnl.in portal.
    My account is transferred to selfcare.wdc.bsnl.co.in portal.

    But by this method still I get my current and past usages record. That is wonderful.

    Those whose account is transferred to selfcare portal and want to see past months records I think this is the only method left.

    I don't think so. But I am not sure. The 10 digit account number which you see on bill is different than this account number.
    If you have previously downloaded any months record then the account number is there.

    @kpic
    Please confirm from where you obtained the
    8 digit number, since you have tried this now.
    Self(don't) care site users try and give feedback please.
    I cannot test because of 8 digit (consumer) number. Not known. My Ip is 59.xx.xx.xx.
    Usage portal
    99.999% perfect. Check usually via Datafox.

    @anandsht
    A million dollar question !
    So far nobody could explain.

    I have tried with random numbers and gave "12345678" as test example. earlier. Now not working for me.

    There was a user with that number !! try it!
    @Vijaykhairnar says , it is not the consumer number shown in your telephone bill.

    condition: you should download billed usage data for any previous month ( six months usually available) from BSNL Portal
    Then search in the page for this magic 8 digit number.
    ( which Bsnl may be using in their Excel database . seems probable .
    Extracted Summary without daily details for each circle / Exchange might be retransmitted to different circles. for billing purposes.
    say 67891234 0442xxxxxxxx essbebe chennai circle. total ( excuding NU) 1456 MB etc
    Probably series starting with 2 ( say 22456789) meant for West Bengal. BB users.

    @vijaykhairnar
    Now in Chrome browser also Datafox can be used.
    But again selfcare sites users, will not benefit.
    as ID PW will be different.
    Author "IP")has to go on modifying and adding different selfcare web sites also along with BSNL Portal
    I have given him testID and PW( sent to me by a user in Kalyan & with his permission ) to access these self care sites to modify Datafox.

    I also tried 12345678 but no usage are shown.I cannot go to data.bsnl.in as I have not been provided with portal id and password.I am solely dependent on selfcare portal.

    Means you are a new BB user and BSNL CC has instructions , to avoid providing access to data.bsnl.in

    The page appearing in Excel format , is also good news that this procedure works ! without any USERID/PW for 117.xx.xx.xx users !!!!!!
