If you are a new user ask your Telephone exchange CC.
They will provide a 14 digit Portal Id and default password as password.
Also an email ID and password different to your userId and PW.
What is your tariff plan ?

You need to talk to your local exchange. They keep it in their records. Ask for

    1. Portal ID
    2. Username
    3. Email ID
    4. Portal password
    5. Connection password.

I have been using BSNL data-one for at least an year now.
My plan is the Rs 250/-, 1 Gb, limited, Home plan.
(I use a wifi modem, secured with 64bit, as given in instructions)

for the last 2 months, seems my usage has suddenly shot up.
(I am being charged for the extra use)
..... but I get no warning, that my 1Gb limit is approaching.
..... Suddenly during the month, when I try to browse, I get re-directed to a BSNL web-page ..displaying 'Your 1 Gb limit is over, click 'agree' to continue browsing...(aplicable extra charges will be added to your bill as per plan)

so I now feel the need to check up on the portal.

also as a safety measure change the security keys for your wifi and make sure that the router does not broadcast its ID and you have to know manually enter ID to create a connection.

Use a bandwidth meter so that you can monitor the details. Option 2 in the following link
