Exclamation Can I connect Multiples Phones to the same internet line?

    Hi,

At my home, we have the same phone line which has bsnl broadband running to different rooms. I have observed that while accessing the internet only one telephone needs to be connected to that line near the modem. If multiple phones are connecting to that line, the DSL light keeps blinking continuouly and hence internet doesn't work...Please can some one tell me what is the solution for this?
    The modem model is WA3002G$
    Pleas help...
    Many Thanks

Your assumptions are wrong. What you need is a splitter at the telephone line entry point that will separare voice and data. Connect the modem to the data port and all parallel telephone lines can be connected to voice port.

Please read the Basic Broadband Guide.

ALL Phones to be connected to
ADSL splitter PHONE Port ONLY ( a filter circuit added inside )
If not possible addition ADSL splitter for each Phone in each room.

    @essbebe,

It is recommended that the splitter be connected at the entry point only. Otherwise the problem of internet/data disconnection does not go away (when there is an incoming or outgoing voice call).

Diagram from British Telephones web site.
The Microfilter is an ADSL splitter.

    Attachment 5828

My Phone connections are as shown in the diagram.

Say main Junction is in Ground floor.
How would you make a connection in First floor, for a BB connection ?
where there is a Phone Jack extension ?
Should we keep the ADSL splitter in ground floor
and take a LONG RJ11 externally to connect to modem ?

Limit of ADSL splitters has been shown as four.
And i had posted the internal circuit of the ADSL splitter in this forum.
Connection from PHONE Junction to to Modem is straight through .
It is the coils and condensers, which prevent BB data signals entering
the telephone line and getting attenuated.

Now what is this Two Way Telephone Rosette....?
simple two way or three way telephone connectors.
    No electronic components inside.

    Para three.
By the way IF your Main telephone junction Box is Yellow colored ,
there will be a circuit Board with lightning arrestor/resistance/and a condenser and a RJ11 port.
This will attenuate ( reduce/degrade) the BB signals.
the parallel connections will be ahead of this Box from the
DB ( Distribution Box ) and suitable for BB connection.

I have the same box but its not in yellow color.

It has been supplied by bsnl only it has a circuit Board with lightning arrestor/resistance/and a condenser and a RJ11 port.

But i never found any problem in BB signals.

Have you read this thread completely? It completely addresses the same issue.

Also go thru these two guides:

    Basic Broadband Guide
    SOHO Guide

@Rameshjee, sorry I deleted your post.

We have got two parallel lines given by builder in our flat, one in bedroom one in living room, we have one line directly connected to one simple phone to be used in case of power failure, and one line connected to splitter from splitter, it goes to modem and the phone jack connected to cordless phone ,, cordless phone will give u freedom of roaming anywhere in the house without any hassle, and you can also surf internet uninterrupted, also since im having panasonic cordless fone it supports upto 6 handsets n v r having nw 2 so as good as having two phones , so best is from splitter connect it to cordless foen,, ;-)

    @rsk11584
You could use an Additional ADSL splitter for the Fixed Phone.
    see post No 8.
