It will have both options.
The Wireless [Wi-F] or Wired [USB/Ethernet] connection is between the modem and the computer. No matter what the modem or plan type is, BSNL broadband connection uses telephone line to provide Internet service.
Wi-Fi is more useful if you have multiple computer to connect to Internet. To use Wi-Fi feature of the Type II modem, you will require a Wi-Fi adapter/dongle or Wi-Fi enabled laptop. Wired connection is always better.

Hope you doubt is clear.
I think he is confused that the connection will named wireless and be charged extra. It is not true. Even if they give you a type II modem, your connection will come under the wired category.
yes i am, when i bought broadband connection 15 days before i taken type 1 modem, when engineer came to my house he said we have only wireless equipment and don't have type 1 modem and i asked him what is the different. he said wireless is somewhat slow. and then i asked him to install wireless connection, then he said you have to write a letter to bsnl then only he will change.
when i asked about wireless equipment with my friends they said type 2 modem is wireless, so i wrote letter to bsnl to change type 1 to type 2. and waiting for connection.
so this is what my confusion is whether they will give wireless connection to my desktop or as you people mentioned wired option for desktop
Dont worry. Unless something worst happens, your connection will be wired one. BSNL EVDO (Wireless) is costlier than 1600 or Rs. 80 rent.
Type II has both the options Wired and Wireless and probably USB too... I would suggest you better go for Type II... The rent will be high if you have not purchased it... If you have already purchased it, I would say good deal...
For using Wireless with the Desktop you'll need an external Wireless Network Adapter... Else you can use the cable to go wired...
It's a myth that Wireless connection is slow... If there is no interference, it's as good as Wired... I'm using wireless setup for more than a year now on my Notebook.
