Default Will a change of plan help me increase speed?

    hi,
I am a user of Home 500 Combo and have a problem of getting speeds upto 1mbps only. I have seen the same issue with another user of Home combo plan but none of the users who use Home 500 plan (without combo) reported this problem. So I was wondering whether shifting to Home 500 plan would somehow get me speeds upto 2 MBPS...I want to try it out by changing my plan for a month. Can I change my plan for just a month? Or maybe even less than a month? Is there a chance of any improvement? Please give your opinions and advice

Look at your Router GUI page. What the Downlod speed shows to you. If it's shows to you 1024Kbps then your DSLAM port have this speed. You never cross this line by changing your Plan. You have to contact with SDE or DE Internal to set your DSLAM port speed to 2048Kbps or higher to getting the full speed.

its definitely an issue with your port at exchange so changing plans wont help in getting higher speed.

You can change your plan and try. Technically, it will not affect the speed. But knowing BSNL, anything can happen. You switch back to your original plan after a month. There is no restriction about plan change.
