    Hello Everybody..
    ISP: BSNL Broadband
    MODEM: UTSTARCOM WA3002G4
    Operating System : Windows Xp Sp2 32-Bit

Iam new to BSNL Broadband. Iam from Karimnagar,Andhra pradesh. The BSNL person has come and installed the modem. He has done some modifications using 192.168.1.1 . I have asked him to tell me the configuration settings but he did not tell me. Now i want to use this modem as router to connect two system using ethernet cable. I dont know what are the setting required. and when i type 192.168.1.1 in the IE address bar it is not displaying anything. it is saying The page cannot be displayed. Could you please tell me What should i do if i want to use my modem as router. and i don not want to share the internet between the systems . i need only communication between the two systems.

If i re-install Windows xp i need to do the followings settings for broadband

Control Panel | Create New Connection -> Next -> Connect To the internet Next -> Setup Connection Manually -> Connect Using Broadband that requires a user name and password next --> ISP Name Next --> User Name and Password --> Finish.

Could you please help me to configure the modem as router. and tell me how to reconfigure it to use as modem.

    Thanks..

    PROBLEM
when i type 192.168.1.1 in the IE address bar it is not displaying anything

Your Gateway IP is not known. with data provided by you.
    No idea about Oracle network
You appear to be part of a LAN network. IP address 169.xx.xx.xx

    Para two:
Since you are getting connected to Internet
    check
    Current IP Check

    type it in address bar.

can you see the modem menu page ?
or you get a window to log in .

What are the two systems you have mentioned.
    Not clear.

    I have IP addreses
    Like IP - 192.168.1.30

    Lightbulb Dhcp not working

your LAN adapter is not getting any address from DHCP server so you are not able to access Modem. Try manually assigning the address to your LAN adapter:

    IP: 192.168.1.10
    MASK: 255.255.255.0
    Gateway: 192.168.1.1
    DNS: 192.168.1.1

    @essbebe

I think configuration of PPPoE in WA3002-G4 would not be different than WA3002-G1 Guide Available on that site.

    @coolcoolcool
if there is any problem in configuration i can post step by step guide with screenshots.

Just shows ,most contributors don't read
the thread from the beginning !
check the links posted here by others. .

    Wa3002-g1 and Wa3002-g4 are different
    like Glb502t and Glb802T ( which I thought are similar )!

    Para two:
    update:
Thread starter has already configured the "modem " to connect to one

He will be able to share the Systems and internet if he configures the modem in PPPoE mode and configure both PC's to be in same subnet.

here is the PPPoE config Guide for WA3002-G4 with screenshots.

    Lightbulb Config

On this page Modem Config select PPPoE instead of bridging and fill in your user id and password on next pages.

    To connect multiple PC's configure:

    First PC:
    IP: 192.168.1.10
    MASK: 255.255.255.0
    Gateway: 192.168.1.1
    DNS: 192.168.1.1

    Second PC:
    IP: 192.168.1.11
    MASK: 255.255.255.0
    Gateway: 192.168.1.1
    DNS: 192.168.1.1

    and so on.

Turn on "File and Printer Sharing" on all PC's and you will be able to share files and internet.
