Thread: Connection is established , LED are glowing but websites not opening.

Hi

I have a pecuiliar problem for the last few days. The connection is established , but websites are not opening.Even Bittoreent is not working. But surprisingly the download acceleration is working fine with a speed of 250 KiloByte ps.
Whats is the reason ?? Hardware problem or Software problem.

change your dns to open dns.

Right now it is OK , So I can Surf. But sometimes
specially in free period ( Mine is Home 500 c +: 2AM to 8 PM) it behaves like this

What do you mean by Open -DNS
Where do I obtain those alternate DNS server addresses??

It happens to me also and while checking the statistics 'SNR Margin (dB)' shows very low value (3 ~ 4). After restarting the router, I get proper value (30 ~ 34) and BB starts working properly.

In your case, twist is there as 'download acceleration' is working. So I'm not pretty sure whether problem is with 'SNR Margin' or not, but its a probable area where you can look into.

Start > control panel > Network connections > Select your connection > properties > TCP/IP > Properties, you will find an option to enter DNS value.

DNS helps page loading. Still to post the ipconfig/all details.
