Help me with my plan change!!!!!

Hello Forum.................

I am using Home 500 NU plan currently. But on saturday (yesterday) i applied for the plan change to Home 125!!!!! I changed my plan because to this because my results are declared and i am going to go to my dorm room within a week. So my Q is that wheather today (31st August) will be counted in my Home 500 bill or will they charge my tonight's download?

Does BSNL counts the month only for 30 days or for 31 days? And will my tonight's download (that means 2 am to 8 am of 31st) be charged?

Also, as i applied for plan change on saturday (yesterday), so will they change it from 1st of september itself or after some days? And what will be the billing for September? will the bill contain both 500+125 as rental or only 125 or whatever?

So, my ultimate Q is that can i download tonight (31st August) under plan Home 500 or not? won't it be calculated in the the month of September?

Please reply me as soon as possible because there are only few hours left for 31st September!!!!!!!!!!

I have a little more Q. Previously i used to see my Plan Type on www.dataone.in, but since this portal no longer give access for "Usage Details" now, so hw can i see my current plan type? And where will it be?

Keep track of My orders tab in data.bsnl.in. Until it shows Home 125 provisioned, your plan is 500 with NU. You can use night unlimited until your plan is changed. Please refer

So, you mean to say that untill "My Orders" tab in my BB account dosen't show Home 125 as provisioned, till then i can use my Night Unlimited plan? Then, won't it be calculated in my next effective plan? For ex. if untill 5th of September it shows "Home 500" then i can use NU facility of this plan for all 4 days??????

Hi Meetdilip, i just checked out my BB account and saw this!!!!!!

I am uploading an image of my order state, according to it my plan has changed today itself!!!!! I am not sad about it but i am astonished at how fast the working at BSNL has become. Although, sorry for the editing i have done in the attached image!!!!!!

Also tell me that am i now able to download using Night Unlimited facility?????

Really good improvement. A GM from BSNL contacted me last week about this issue (Seeing my thread on this). I like to hope this was an effect of it. Your plan change is yet to be provisioned. But it is wise not to use Night unlimited as the plan status is Open.

Edit: Please remove your portal ID from the screen shot. Anybody can log in to your account and check the details.

Hello there, thanx for your suggestion to edit my last post. I have removed the attached image!!!!! Can anyone connect to BSNL BB using my id and download which will be added to my account????????

Also tell me 1 thing, BSNL has written in my account that "Effective Date" for new plan (Home 125) is from 31st August!!!!! So, will they add my 31st August's downloads (2 am to 8 am) into my new plan??????? If it happens then i will get charged almost upto Rs. 4000-5000!!!!!! By the way in my account usage i checked and found that all my 31st August's Night Unlimited downloads are marked as zero ("0") under the tab "Total Chargeable Units".

Please reply to my 2 Qs which i asked. I am getting worried like hell!!!!

No. But with portal ID, they can log in to the portal and change your password just for fun.

I think till provisioned, you are in the current plan. Still, to be on safer side, do not use NU today.

Thnx a lot!!!! I was getting worried mainly because i thought that anyone can use BB by having my Portal id. Are you sure that nobody can use my id to connect and download anything? Suppose if i have anyone's id, then can i use it for connecting to BSNL BB service?

Ok, i am not going to use any NU downloads hence forth!!!!!

Just reply last Q of mine which i asked above, i am waiting for your reply!!!!!!!

There are two different IDs.

1. Portal ID, used to log in to the portal,

2. Username, which is used to connect to internet.

Unless you know the user name, it is impossible to connect to internet. Even if they get your username, most connections are port binded. Your account can be used only from your telephone line.

I just forgot that the id in my image was only the Portal id!!!!!! Yeah, my user id is completely different from my portal id!!!!! Thanx for helping me to this extent!!!! I was really acting like a real stupid untill now!!!!
