Lightbulb How much can you download in 30 days??

HEY EVERYONE HERE IS ME EXPLAINING THE TOTAL AMOUNT THAT YOU CON DOWN LOAD IN 30 DAYS.......HERE I GO

    BSNL 750 UL:

    32{KBps}X60{SECONDS}X60{MINUTES}X24{HOURS}X30{days }

this equals 8294400 which is 81.76 GB......

    BSNL 1350 UL:

    64{KBps}X60{SECONDS}X60{MINUTES}X24{HOURS}X30{days

this equals 16588800 which is 163.97 GB

    BSNL 500C:

    256{KBps}X60{SECONDS}X60{MINUTES}X6{HOURS}{NIGHT UNLIMITED}X30{days}

this equals 16588800 which is 163.97 GB

NOW HERE IS AN INTERESTING FACT:

    HOME UL 1350 = HOME 500C+

BUT 500C+ IS WAY CHEAPER THAN UL 1350 AND IT HAS UPTO 2Mbps

SO CHOOSE WISELY WHEN IT COMES TO PICKING THE RIGHT PLAN

    NOTE:

DETAILS ON OTHER ISP'S WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL POST EM HERE

    mods pls refer this thread

Though the approx amount what we can download in HOME UL 1350 and HOME 500C+ are same but both plans cater different needs.

So just on the basis of approx download we cant conclude that HOME UL 1350 = HOME 500C+

Right. Do not use CAPITAL letters in posts, please.

As said by deepmohan, you simply cannot equate the too just on one factor alone.

    1. UL1350+ has a complete protection against any excess usage - whether accidental or deliberate. You will pay Rs. 1350 + tax, whatever may be the events. There are plenty of people who complain about excess billing.

    2. There is no need to schedule downloads during the small hours of the day.

When you opt for peace, you naturally pay more. Basically you are buying an insurance agianst "nasty" surprises.

Not necessarily. A laptop uses 65W of power per hour. A modem will use around 25W.

    So the total is 90W x 24 x 30 = 64800 WH or 65 KWH.

I wonder Rcom has facility to provide service with out electricity, as they are better than bsnl for Rcom.

a desktop consumes 450W/hr with 25W of modem

    475 X 24 X 30 =3,42,000 Wh = 340 KWH approx

This is going offtopic. But yes. desktop will consume a lot more and the above calculation does not account for monitor usage - especially CRT monitor which adds another 140 W/hr.

erm I thought UL1350+ (the scheme i have) is unlimited and that BSNL doesnt employ FUP like the ones Tata has When would I be billed for excess usage ? any further info on this is appreciated as I wouldnt want to end up with more bill

Or I think i totally misundestood and that you are saying that UL1350 is literally unlimted and I wouldn' have to pay beyond 1350 and that you are taking about the other plans being billed excessively.

    There is no FUP.

And even in case of ISPs like Tata and Airtel, there is no additional billing because of FUP.

    Unlimited means unlimited.

i disagree with that as i,ve personally experienced it myself.,first you get a call from your isp[mine was airtel} and then if you ignore them your bandwidth is reduced to half of the total.and if you further plan to download much then you get disconnected for that month

in that way i concluded that 500c{500c+} is the best around as it has no download cap in the sense fair usage policy

    cheers...

While the 500c plan is the best for its money, a small error on the user's part can well result in a nice 4 digit bill for that month and it will happen cause everyone makes a mistake at some point of time.

What you are forgetting is that 2am-8am is the only time when the 500c plan can be exploited to the core. Plus its not exactly possible to get 100% of the dl speed. Your calculation is basically in "ideal conditions" which are rare to come by.

1350 UL = peace of mind. I don't have to worry about AM/PM or whatever. I know I am paying a lot more, but I wont pay more than that ever

and 500c plan is useless for me as power goes out from 3am-5am/6am quite often

i believe in downloading as much as possible...

suk their servers as you really pay for it, and this is what they are taking money from you in the name of bb...

i believe in sharing connections and giving to evryone... (though this is not as per law prescribed)
i am really angry on India's condition in Bb and this is the only way to burn out their servers, and so that they buy new ones.. and speeds may improve..

i'm having trouble getting stuff from RevTT coz i have to maintain ratio buffers

It takes AGES to build a buffer and then download something

India is taking way too long to catch up....

i saw speednet international results, and then i came upto to know our position...
we built a common line of say "we got a huge population to connect"

but the truth is that, when people are more connection is high(read, korea, japan, china)
but we make excuse of what is itself a joke for people of the world outside...
even Pakistani's use high speed bb at low cost than Indians..
its not about infrastructure, its about common decision making in people,

people should flood forums like IBF and forums of Reliance, Tata, Bsnl etc to make them wake from their long sleeps,..

That is wrong. Tell me why? Desktop doesn't consume that unless you are doing that for extensive work & downloading hardly does that.

& I think I holds record on doing extensive work.

I think its not how much we download but what we download that matters the most.
