    1. Disconnect the connection, connect again and try

    2. Restart the computer and try

    3. Run a scan with CA Yahoo Antispy

I tried both, but didn't work. Also tried uninstalling the LAN driver and when restarted the driver installed automatically. But still the error shows up.

I've attached the error. As in the pic, I created a dummy connection by name BSNL, and im not able to delete it. And whenever i right click to go to properties, the error occurs.

I didn't do anything with the registry. But i did stop a few services which i did using google for "stop unwanted windows services". So might that have caused the prob ? And if yes, what service(s) are related to this network connections, that might solve this.

@meetdilip: I do have an Antispyware installed. Do i still have to scan using CA yahoo antispy ?

registry corruption dose not depaind on manually do somthing with it's entry wrongly. There is many cause behind the corruption of the registry.
If you really want to quick relief from this problem then the option is
    Clean install the Operation System
    or
Detach the lancard from your system and uninstall the driver, then Install the LanCard in deferent PCI card.
If the LanCard is inbuilt with motherboard then there is no option to Detach the lancard from your system.
If you have time and want to wait for days, month and year to see solving the problem from current operating system then you can go on.

Go to Device Manager and un-install the network adapter that the local
area connection uses. Then let Windows detect and re-install the
adapter. It will create a new network connection that should work.

    Lightbulb Network Connections

Open command prompt and run these commands:

    Code:
    regsvr32 netshell.dll
    regsvr32 ole32.dll
After that try to open the properties.
