Thread: default settings for dataone modem

hi, iam new to this forum. I need help in restoring the default settings for my dataone type-1 modem, ie settings for LAN, WAN.............
the default settings got accidentally changed while i was just checking the modem administrator website. please help.....

my modem number is UT-300R2U.
my OS is Windows XP Professional SP2.

there is a restore default settings button at the back of all the modem's, all u need to do is keep the modem poiwer on, and using some pointed device hold the restote button on the modem pressed for atleast 15-20 sec's, then u may restart the modem, to find that the default settings hav been replaced, hope this helped..

And i dont think the default settings of the modem is same as the settings required for BSNl, to obtain the sttings required for BSNl u may visit the calcutta telephones site, wherein the detailed configuration for each of the modem is clearly mentioned or u may also try the other forums, or even this one, as i haven't checked this site yet, cant say there might be useful info.

There is no switch to on that modem at the back i am using the same modem/router

u have to go to the router's acess page which is usually http://192.168.1.1

enter the login id and passwd which is usually admin for the both

from there click on reboot link and there is a restore default settings button
