Thread: can I increase my uplink speed

Hi frens......Iam using BSNL BB with UT300R2U router and HOME500C plan....the thing is that iam getting downlink speed of about 230kbps and uplinks of 80kbps max.....so is there any way to increase my uplink speed, or if it can be increased by configuring the router or do I need to get my plan changed.....

is it 230kbps ot 230KBps
80kbps or 80KBps
if you mean kbps not KBps then there is some problem
because in 500C plan DL 230kbps not good.

its KBps only kilobytes per second.....i can download a 5mb file in about 30seconds 4m a good server....

Ive read something about the modulation modes....what are these modes and do I get increased bandwidth if I change any of those.....in the above list the highlighted things are enabled for my router....

G.DMT = 12 Mbit/s downstream and 1.3 Mbit/s upstream.
G.Lite = 1.5-Mbps downstream and 512-Kbps upstream
ADSL2+ =24 Mbit/s downstream and 1.4 Mbit/s upstream

You are getting Good download speed and Upload speed. You cant Increase the speed.
If you Change your plan to 8Mbps and when your Router shows to you 8192Kbps Download rates or higher then you can get more downlod speed. But you dont change your Plan and stay in 2Mbps but your router shows to you 8192Kbps but still you will get 230KBps DL rate in your downlod manager.
