    Default ADSL link problem

My modem ,D-LINK 802C, is not able to establish ADSL LINK

    Some more details:
    1. Connection was normal and working finely till 2nd september.BSNL Home 500 plan.
    2. ADSL link is established now only when the phone line is engaged i.e. if I dial any number, for eg my mobile number and I don't pick up the mobile.Once ADSL link is established , internet is connected but browsing speed is very slow.
    3. Once the phone is disengaged the ADSL link breaks, so does the internet connection. And the ADSL link is not reestablished until I again engage the phone.
4.I have bridge mode,D-Link 802C modem.Local BSNL wallas of no help. Please guide me.

Call BSNL to solve your problem.
This is happen because of poor ADSL signal or your line is not good.

    Lightbulb Basic Troubleshooting

    1. First check Telephone Box, Splitter and Modem for any loose connection and tighthen them.

    2. have you installed any phone before the Splitter?

    3. Post your SNR and Line Attenuation Values here from this link.

    4. Also try changing mode from ADSL to G.DMT.

I have no phone connection before the splitter.

All the wires and connections are tight.

I was having excellant broadband connection for the last one year without any issues.
    SNR value is around 10-12.
Please guide me and help to solve this problem. Because of Onam vacations here in Kerala the attitude of the BSNL employees is very indifferent.

By the way I am in fact using G.DMT mode.

It will be nice if you can get your line checked.

    Lightbulb Line Condition

If your SNR Margin is low and Line Attenuation is high then you better get your line checked. Also on the ATM Status page check for any errors or Misrouted Cells.

remove all phones which r not after splitter.......

if u do not have splitter, remove all telephones.. and then check.
check ur Dlink mdm has inbuilt splitter on its backside...

    connect phone after splitter only.....
