    Default IP configuration

    Hello friends,
    i have small doubt ,,
my frd had taken BSNL connection and he did a small mistake i.e he only configured the IP.
My doubt is when i checked IP config ,,, i cant see the IP address in that ,,

Is the configuration is correct or else he need to configure it once again.

Is he using a dialer to connect ?
    Copy paste the Ipconfig /all
DATA and post it here for checking up.
    Code:

bsnl automatically configues the ip if your friend is using a dialer modem, as far as i know, bsnl provides only dialer connections

My doubt is when i checked IP config ,,, i cant see the IP address in that ,,
There are ONLY two IP addresses involved.
    Usually
    One the computers IP say 192.168.1.X ( X= 2 to 254) IP1
    subnet mask 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 192.168.1.1 ( modem access IP usually ) IP2
If you use a Dialer PPP
the gateway of BSNL is seen which you have no control
    say 59.xx.xx.xx IP3
    After getting connected to Internet
Check the Dynamic IP allotted to you. IP4

Clarify which one you are referring ?

most of BSNL Modem are DHCP enabled so u dont need to configure ur LAN ip address keep on option Obtain IP Adress automatically. you can also configure ur LAN IP address as
    IP: 192.168.1.20
    Subnet: 255.255.255.0
    Gateway: 192.168.1.1

    DNS :192.168.1.1

try it it will start working

for HUL750 plan the speed is 256kpbs. the download speed is about 30 kpbs
