Default Frequent Disconnection Problem In BSNL Home 500 UT300R2U

    Hi

I am having BSNL 500 plan with UT300R2U modem

    Using in pppoe mode
    ipconfig status

    Ethernet adapter LAN:

    Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
    IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.2
    Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
    Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1

    PPP adapter BSNL (PPPOE):

    Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
    IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 59.92.253.70
    Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.255
    Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 59.92.253.70
I am having the problem of frequent disconnect and reconnection

There is no specified interval at which it happens
    Its random.

I have 5 lights in my modem..
    Power,DSL,Internet,Ethernet,USB

Here is the sequence in which disconnection happens

Internet light will fickle very fastly and then DSL light goes off along with internet light

After few seconds DSL light comes on and afterwards Internet light comes

I have called lineman 2 times but unfortunately when he came the connection was working fine
he told me that there is no problem with my line

Coming to what are the things that i tried ..

1.Connected directly the line without the splitter - same problem continues
2.Used USB mode - same problem continues
3.Reset the modem by pressing the hardware reset - same problem continues
4.Used in bridge mode - same problem continues

Please tell me what to do to prevent this problem ..
I will try anything but please dont tell me to complain to BSNL again the lineman will just come and go

Your line have noise or some disturbance.
SNR means Signal to Noise Ratio where 6dB or below have no line synchronisation and frequent disconnections. If you get 7dB to 10dB the it's fair but not good.
only 11dB to 20dB you get no disconnection problems and 20dB to 28dB is very good you can say it Excellent.

I see in your screenshot that only in G.DMT mode you get SNR 13dB at Upstream.

Your line is not good. Have to cheak with BSNL people. But you dont want to call again. You can talk to SDE or DE Internal or DE External.

are you using "Dialer" mode ( "Bridged")
( enter UserID and PW in computer window)
    or
    "Always On" PPP/PPPoE mode
( UserID and PW entered in modem ). ?

    2. Post this data ( copy Paste)
    Procedure:
    Start /RUN /type cmd Ok
    New WIndow
    type ipconfig /all

    3. Go to Maintenance menu and select SAVE REBOOT button again there.

Only these data required. try again adsl2
remove all phones and connect ONly one phone to adsl splitter.
    then try.
    Para two:
    In Advanced settings dsl
    uncheck box adsl2+ enabled.
    Annex M enabled.
Save reboot wait for two minutes.

    Under Maintenance any menu item
client TR-069 ? if enabled disable it

    i have done all ..
Even have connected the phone directly to splitter ... have selected individual modes and have done every test and only AnnexM doesnt work .. the dsl light never blinks at all...

And the disconnection problem is irregualar ..

As per my anaysis G.DMT now offers good SNR values
    Downstream Upstream
    SNR Margin (dB): 10.0 20.0
    Attenuation (dB): 29.0 14.5
    Output Power (dBm): 12.0 19.8
    Attainable Rate (Kbps): 13256 1449
    Rate (Kbps): 12495 830
But there is still the problem of disconnection and yes you are right TR-069 was enabled earlier but i have disabled it yesterday itself and now i am able to save the settings ..

Are you on "Dialer" "Bridged" mode ? try 'Always On"
    Test again.
    Annex M to be disabled.
check the cables for high resistance/blackening/oxidisations
If the modem is on rent exchange it.
or if purchased, replacement possible within a year.

Para two: Attainable rate and line rate there should a difference.
    type 192.168.1.1 open modem settings
    type 192.168.1.1/look.html
post software version Firmware version etc.
If you want you can try a FW update.at your own risk don't blame me later if anything goes wrong and your modem becomes "DUD"!

adithyau talk to SDE or DE Internal or DE External to solve your problem. User dose not need too mutch headache to set up a router and use the internet If the line is good. Your line signal very poor or have disturbance your Downstream SNR dosenot good. You have nothing to do from your side. Talk to them and solve your problem. They will definitely solve your problem.

The disconnection problem has solved a bit moving to G.DMT but now i got a BIG problem which i think i will call the BSNL on monday

My landline phone has gone crazy ..
1.I dail my cell .and hung up the landline even then the phone continues to ring

2.The landline is hunged up and call it via landline .. instead of ringing my cell gets connected automatically and i am getting charges for it..and i can hear nothing

3.I am hearning double tone in my landline

BUt surprisingly my Broad band has become good .. just at max 5 disconnection of 30 sec in 3-5 hrs...

The thing is in MY CITY ALL BB USERS FACE the problem of disconnection .. i have confirmed this from my friends ..

I have directly connected my landline to the incoming line of the splitter and when i try to call i get line out of service ...seems like i am in real bad shape right now .. earlier there was just the disconnection problem now landline problem
