Question SmartAX Modem with LinkSys WRT110 n router

    1. I have a SmartAX MT841 Modem which has an auto-dial setup.
    2. On my desktop, TCP/IP is set to take a static IP address with a fixed DNS.
    3. I just bought a new router which is Linksys 802.11n router - WRT110.
    4. I want to hook this to the modem so that I don't disturb the current desktop-modem setup but want to add an extra route from Modem to Router.

Can somebody please let me know how I can achieve the same?

    1. I have enabled DHCP on the Modem - Range: 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.1.10
    2. I have specified Modem's address as 192.168.1.1
    3. Desktop has a static IP set as 192.168.1.2
    4. I have set the router's address in Linksys panel as 192.168.1.3 and have mentioned DNS details.

    5. What else do I need to do?

    Please let me know. Thanks.

    Lightbulb Route Entry

In Linksys you have to define the new route entry having destination 0.0.0.0 and gateway as 192.168.1.1.
