    Default Bsnl broadband account hacked

    Hi
From last two days i was not able to connect. Whenever i use to dial the connection i use to get Error 691. Invalid UserID and Password.

Point to note is system has no spyware, malware, virus or Trojan. Neither there is any kind of OS problem. Router is working fine, also Telephone line is in proper state.

Hence i logged a complaint to BSNL, local exchange.

To make sure that my router has no issues, i used at my friends place who is also using BSNL connection in same building. hence, it was sure that Router, my pc or telephone line has no issues as such.

Hence , I am sure something was wrong at BSNL server. I came back home and used his user id and password on my connection. And i was surprised, i got connected too. So, here in our area, there is no port-binding.

I logged into Portal to change my BB password, but it asked for existing password. i entered it, but was not able to login.

Thus, there was some issue with my BB password.

As i did not want to cheat my friend, i disconnected.
then i again dailed my connection , and to my surprise, i got connected and net is working fine.

Guys, whats going on ? Was there any activity from BSNL due to which they have blocked/reset my password ?

Place a port binding request with BSNL. Just in case.

For cheaking just log in from your router. Just enable pppoe in your router and try from there and cheak is it log in from there or not.

Basically this problem occur from the server. Your problem will be solve within few days.

Before problem, i had PPPoE(not sure abt name) where the connection use to dial from within the router only.
after this problem, i deleted that and created a new connection.

so no connection (dailing) problem as such.

How do i do that ? do i need to write an application ?

Also, when i get BSNL mails from local exchange, they put all UID in TO list. thus now i have almost all ID's in our local area.
and most of the people dont change the password. and Default pass is also PASSWORD

so this is a real problem. cauz any one can just try few accounts and get connected.

Your account is OK. You can try from your friend connection with your user ID and password to cheak is it port binded or not.

    Default this is usual

I think this usual problem of network or server in congestion.I had experienced it for 3 to 4 times. Most probably it is problem of Telecommunication exchange.
