Thread: BSNL Bill clarification

I use 750+ Broad Band connection from 31 st July 2009. Rs.6 was charged in the first bill for 1 day. Now I got the second bill for Rs.2500/= with the breakup as follows: Call charges 15.00
Misc charges 750.00
Broadband Charges 1669.00
Service Tax 66.33
Gross Amount 2500.00
Credit Adj. 0.00
Net Amount 2500.00

I received the BB connection with the new Telephone line. I was told that installation charges are Rs.250/=. BB charges (1669) is ok. But, What is the Misc. charge? Is it calculated as Rs.250/= (Installation) and Rs.500/= for the Telephone instrument? Pls. clarify

If its your second bill then the landline installation charges would have been charged in the first bill.

They usually charge Rs. 500/- as BFone installation charges and Rs. 1000/- as refundable deposit.

What about the CPE did you purchase it from bsnl or rented or you got from your side..?

Rs.500/= which I paid was accounted by BSNL as refundable deposit as mentioned in the first bill. I purchased Type-I modem, though they supplied me Type-II (WA3002G4) but charged me only Rs.1000/= + 4%Tax = 1040 + Monthly Plan charges Rs.629 (06.08.2009 to 31.08.2009) =

On the left side of the Bill, it was mentioned that BB plan Security Deposit Rs.750/=. So I think probably the Miscellaneous charges will be treated as refundable deposit.
