Thread: do bsnl charge usage from 745 am to 12 noon

supposes am using net from 2 am to 745 am since am in 500 plan 2-8 is unlimited ...and i dont disconnect at 8 am and the downloading goes on will the bandwidth be chargeable?????

It is wise to reconnect a little before 8.00 am. Otherwise you may be charged.

Experiment once. Download a small file between 2 to 12 am without rebooting router and then see the uses record.

Recently a user reported such an error. He left the modem unbooted and his 3 GB got counted in the non free usage. Normally, it do not happen with him. It is advised to reboot the modem a little before 8.00 am.

u will be charged or not it depends upon BSNL........

yes they will charge for it, it actually happend for me also, if you continuously download say for example you swithced on/rebooted your modem at 12.am and starting your download at 2.am to till 4.am then swithced off/rebooted and downloaded files of size 400 mb means they will actually consider how long the modem is on(session) here it is 4 hours. they will make a average something like 1 hour 100 mb , for the free two hour they will reduce it and you need to pay for the remaining 200mb . this happens for many of the user but not for all user.

. you need to reboot your modem around 2.05 am and again at 7.55 am to make sure your download session between 2 - 8 am. to do automatic reboot of modem search for how to threads in this forum
