    PROBLEM
using bsnl dataone in xp .its working very fine.
i got another laptop that is on vista.
my modem is beetel cx100 modem usb
Presume you can connect only ONE system
or Laptop computer at a time.
    Desktop/laptop with XP OS OK.
    Confirm Desktop or laptop.
    2nd system :Laptop/Vista Not working.

    Para two:
mdoem is installed on tht new laptop.
    .
Presume you mean you have uploaded the USB drivers in Vista.

PROCEDURE TO LOAD usb DRIVERS of modem
    Uninstall the drivers.
    Disconnect Usb cable from Laptop/vista.
Download USB drivers to say C:/My Documents/ cx100 usb drivers.

    Reconnect Usb cable to laptop
    restart system/
    Let Vista detect new Hardware.
    asks for drivers.
    load from above location.
Does it load or you get error message ?
    or even "BOD" can appear.

The USB modem Beetel cx 100 having a single USB port is very old.
The drivers may not be compatible for a Vista system.

    Para three :
Better get on rental basis an adslmodem/router/wifi model
so called Type II or type IV on rental basis from BSNL
Outright purchase Rs 1600/+ plus taxes or rental Rs 80/= PM.

    Para four ;
    Procedure:
    START RUN type cmd OK
    New window appears.
    type ipconfig /all
    Copy/Paste data for both systems.
and upload here as *.txt annexure/attachment
    or upload at tinypic.com
    and give the link as h t t p://i12.tinypic.com/fr345.jpg (* example)

Seems you are using USB. It solves a lot of problems if you use LAN.
