Can BSNL charge double Broadband Security Deposit? I had a broadband plan under 250 Scheme with security Deposit of Rs. 500/-. Recently I switched over to Combo 500C Plus Plan and this time BSNL, Kolkata hassent a bill asking Rs. 600/- as BB Security Deposit. I am a existing customer . Isn't it irregular? Please help me immediately.
It is normal to charge one month rent as advance. But since you have already paid Rs. 500 as deposit, please check with the accounts section.
They do not have accurate billing systems. Show them the receipt of having paid Rs. 500 paid as deposit earlier. They will correct the deposit figure in this bill.
No security deposit for BroadBand Connections upto Plan 500 and for CICs on bulk connections (>25) subject to an undertaking by CIC.
Security Deposit for all higher Broadband plans will be equivalent to One Month Fixed Charges (but Max. Rs 5000/-).
pl. forgive my ignorance but what is CIC?
